Nutrition Policy

The Center provides a morning and afternoon snack to children enrolled in the center. We also offer organic whole milk at lunch.

The Center aims to provide nutritional snacks consistent with the USDA and American Public Health Association guidelines. We are currently fortunate to have the assistance of a professional nutritionist in building a healthy snack program. Most of our snack are organic, We are a "NUT SAFE" center.  Nuts are not permitted in the center.

We make all attempts to provide healthy choices for children and also discourage families from bringing 'sugary treats' for distribution in a classroom.  We recognize particular sweets are a part of cultural and/or holiday traditions. We ask parents wishing to bring any food or sweets for sharing or distribution to please consult the Director or classroom teachers.

The links below are those that have guided the development of the center nutrition policy.
